What are these events all about?
Did you know that while women make up more than half of the US professional occupations, they only hold 24% of the jobs in high-tech?! Some think that women listen to the stereotype that women aren’t as good at math and science, and therefore don’t try them. Some think that women don’t want to go into such a demanding occupation that typically requires a lot of travel. Others think that because there are so few women in the industry, female mentors and role models are scarce, too. Whatever the reason, we would like to help the women in the high-tech industry to succeed by bringing them together to share their experiences, knowledge, and to support one another.
